Dubai Establishes Agentic AI Committee to Foster Economic Development

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai Chambers has officially established the Executive Committee for Agentic AI, marking a pivotal advancement aimed at assisting Dubai’s private sector in harnessing cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies and enhancing its international competitiveness.

This initiative follows the recent unveiling by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of The Executive Council, aimed at supporting the private sector's shift towards Agentic AI — a next-generation AI system capable of executing tasks and making decisions autonomously.

The committee convened for its inaugural online meeting, led by H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers and the Executive Committee for Agentic AI. The meeting featured H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the committee.

Enhancing Competitiveness in Business

Al Mansoori emphasized Dubai's dedication to maintaining its status as a global innovation leader while boosting the private sector's dynamism. He stated that the integration of Agentic AI demonstrates Dubai’s proactive stance in adopting advanced technologies to underpin a resilient, sustainable, and innovation-led economy.

The committee plans to create a comprehensive support framework, which will include tailored Agentic AI training programs for the Business Councils and Groups associated with Dubai Chamber of Commerce. It also aims to foster incubators for AI-centric enterprises and improve collaboration between public and private sectors to expedite digital transformation across vital industries.

Advancing a Technology-Oriented Economy

Omar Sultan Al Olama noted that this initiative aligns perfectly with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aimed at establishing Dubai as a global hub for future technologies.

He indicated that efforts are underway to create a new ecosystem powered by Agentic AI, enabling both governmental and private entities to boost efficiency, foster innovation, and remain at the forefront of global technological trends.

Al Olama further elaborated that this transformation supports building a knowledge-driven and technology-centric digital economy, encourages the emergence of advanced AI solutions, stimulates startup growth, and positions Dubai as an international center for next-gen digital tech development and exports.

Committee’s Core Responsibilities

The Executive Committee for Agentic AI will take charge of executing Dubai’s two-year transformation roadmap for Agentic AI integration. Its tasks include:

  • Approving targeted Agentic AI training initiatives for Business Groups and Councils.

  • Creating and launching incubators for Agentic AI entities in Dubai.

  • Supporting enterprises engaged in the development and application of Agentic AI technologies.

  • Establishing specific funding and support mechanisms to aid selected businesses in transitioning to Agentic AI.

  • Encouraging knowledge exchange, skills enhancement, and capacity building in AI across Dubai’s business framework.

This initiative signifies a crucial advancement in Dubai’s strategy to boost AI adoption, strengthen digital transformation capabilities, and facilitate enduring economic growth while enhancing the global competitiveness of its private sector.
