CDA Introduces ‘Nuwat Dubai’ for Enhanced Family Stability

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Community Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled the ‘Nuwat Dubai’ initiative, which falls under the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Programme, in its mission to bolster family stability and promote communal wellbeing throughout Dubai.

Representatives from partner entities and community members gathered for the launch event. This initiative is a key component of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, aimed at delivering sustainable social development programs that enhance family cohesion and mental health.

Set at Coffee Lab, the launch featured various interactive activities targeted at diverse community groups. Offerings included personality assessments, family counseling, social guidance services, competitions, and prize distributions supported by National Bonds.

These activities fostered a vibrant atmosphere that encouraged families to engage with the initiative’s focus on cultivating stronger family ties and heightening social consciousness.

Dr. Namaa Al Shamsi, CDA’s Director of the Family Development Department, emphasized that this initiative marks a significant advancement towards supporting families, which are vital to a robust and sustainable community.

She remarked that it exemplifies Dubai’s leadership vision to invest in its citizens, aiming to enhance family and community wellbeing. Additionally, she underscored the CDA’s commitment to developing impactful programs that support families’ emotional and social stability while improving communication between families and social assistance entities.

Dr. Al Shamsi elaborated that this initiative also aligns with the CDA’s broader mission of constructing an integrated social services framework tailored to community demands. She reiterated that nurturing safe and supportive family environments is essential for sustainable social progress in Dubai.

The ‘Nuwat Dubai’ initiative is part of an extensive array of community programs rolled out by the CDA to enhance family unity, increase social awareness, and assist families in navigating social and psychological hurdles through innovative and sustainable approaches.
