Emirates has announced plans to operate more than 100 flights from Dubai on March 5 and 6 following the partial reopening of regional airspace, allowing passengers and essential cargo to continue their journeys after days of disruption.
The airline said the flights departing from Dubai and returning over the two-day period will help transport passengers eager to reach their final destinations while also ensuring the movement of critical cargo, including perishable goods and pharmaceutical supplies.
According to the airline, more than 100 flights are scheduled to depart from Dubai and return during March 5 and 6. However, operations will remain limited as the carrier gradually rebuilds its schedule depending on airspace availability and operational conditions.
Emirates stated that the available flights are now open for booking, with priority being given to passengers who already held confirmed reservations before the disruptions.
The airline also clarified that passengers transiting through Dubai will only be allowed to travel if their connecting flights are confirmed and operating. Travelers are therefore strongly advised to verify the status of their onward journeys before heading to the airport.
Emirates stressed that safety remains its highest priority and that the airline will continue restoring services in phases once all operational and safety requirements are fully met.
Passengers have also been reminded not to proceed to the airport unless they have a confirmed booking, in order to avoid congestion and unnecessary delays.
The Dubai-based carrier has urged customers to regularly check its official website and social media channels for the latest flight updates and operational announcements.
Rebooking and Cancellation Options
Passengers who had booked flights scheduled between February 28 and March 31 have been offered flexible travel options.
Customers may rebook their tickets on an alternative flight to the same destination for travel on or before April 30. Those who made reservations through travel agents are advised to contact their agents directly, while passengers who booked through the airline can reach out to Emirates customer services.
Travelers may also request a refund by submitting the refund form if their booking was made directly with the airline. For bookings made through travel agencies, refund requests must be processed through the respective agents.
Passengers are also encouraged to ensure their contact details are up to date through the airline’s “Manage Your Booking” service so they can receive timely notifications regarding any changes.
Meanwhile, Emirates confirmed that all city check-in locations across Dubai remain temporarily closed until further notice as the airline continues to manage operations amid the ongoing situation.
