The Emirates SkyCargo Toronto service has been launched, establishing a significant cargo link between the UAE and Canada. This weekly freighter flight to Toronto Pearson Airport is designed to expedite goods transportation worldwide for businesses.
This new service adds an additional 100 tons of weekly cargo capacity, complementing existing capacities on passenger flights. It is anticipated to bolster the burgeoning trade relationship between Canada and the UAE, driven by a steady rise in exports over recent years.
The journey of the freighter starts from Dubai World Central, with a scheduled stop in Amsterdam before arriving in Toronto. This route not only facilitates the exchange between Canada and the UAE but also connects to European markets, simplifying the movement of goods across various regions.
The service is poised to primarily support the transport of vital goods, including pharmaceuticals, fresh food items, electronics, and other high-value products that require swift and temperature-sensitive logistics. It aims to bolster supply chains between Europe and Canada significantly.
Officials highlighted that this launch marks a critical progression for Emirates SkyCargo, reinforcing its commitment to global expansion. The airline has significantly contributed to trade with Canada following the initiation of passenger flights to Toronto in 2007. Recently, it has also expanded cargo services to Montreal, further demonstrating its dedication to the Canadian market.
The Emirates SkyCargo Toronto service aligns with the airline’s broader growth strategy, characterized by a vast global network and an expanding fleet of cargo aircraft, aiming to deliver swift and reliable logistics solutions. This route is set to empower businesses in constructing robust and adaptable supply chains while enhancing international trade.
