Rally driver Nora Al Jassasi is set to make history as the first Emirati woman to compete in the FIA Middle East Baja Cup 2026. The championship will begin with the opening round in Hail, Saudi Arabia, next January, followed by the Aqaba round in Jordan in February. Her participation marks a major milestone for women in motorsports in the UAE and the wider region.

Her entry into the 2026 series was confirmed after a remarkable performance at the Dubai International Baja 2025. Competing in her third appearance at the event, Al Jassasi finished third in the SSV T4 category and 21st overall. She was the only Emirati woman in the race, highlighting her determination and skill in a highly competitive field.

The Dubai Baja 2025 included a demanding 400-kilometre stage featuring fast dunes, open tracks, and broken sand dunes. Al Jassasi completed the stage without any mechanical issues or rollovers, demonstrating her technical readiness, endurance, and consistent driving throughout the rally.
