Fatal Train Incident Under Investigation in Richmond Hill

Authorities in York Region are examining a tragic incident that occurred on the evening of April 10, 2026, when a pedestrian was struck and fatally injured by a train in Richmond Hill.

The collision took place shortly after 6:30 p.m. at the Elgin Mills crossing, situated to the east of Yonge Street and just north of the Richmond Hill GO station. Emergency teams were dispatched following reports of the accident.
