Swift Civil Defence Response to Dubai Marina Blaze

Swift Civil Defence Response to Dubai Marina Blaze

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Early this morning, a fire erupted at a high-rise building under construction in Dubai Marina, triggering a prompt reaction from emergency services.

The incident took place around 7:30 am at The Residences at Al Habtoor Grand, a 50-storey tower situated near the waterfront, adjacent to the Habtoor Grand Hotel. The project is still under development and anticipated to finish by March 2027.

Teams from Dubai Civil Defence, along with police units, quickly arrived at the scene after observing thick smoke rising across the marina skyline. In order to safeguard the public and facilitate firefighting efforts, authorities cordoned off the roadway near the hotel.

The quick response was aided by the building's closeness to Al Marsa Civil Defence station, allowing crews to act fast and start controlling the flames.

At this time, officials have not disclosed what caused the fire nor have they reported any injuries.

Fire incidents often see a rise during the hotter months, as dry and dusty conditions can escalate both the risk and speed of fire dispersion, making immediate response essential.
