API Pricing and Subscription Access

Google has announced introductory API rates of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. From December 1, 2026, the published rates are scheduled to rise to $4 and $20 per million tokens, respectively. Eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can access the model through the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, while Ultra subscribers also have access through Google Antigravity.

Cybersecurity and Business Applications

Google is expanding access to selected cybersecurity professionals through its Fairwind Program. The initiative is intended to support defensive security work while maintaining controlled access to advanced capabilities. Businesses can also explore the model for coding, document analysis, research and other complex workflows.

Competition in the AI Industry

The launch adds to Google's efforts to compete with other major AI developers, including OpenAI and Anthropic. As companies explore more advanced AI systems, they will need to evaluate model accuracy, security, costs and practical performance before integrating the technology into important business operations.
