Abu Dhabi, UAE – Hillhouse Investment Management, a prominent global player in alternative asset management, has unveiled its latest office in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). The firm has secured a Category 3C license from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), which will empower it to elevate investment activities within the UAE and broader Gulf region.
The inauguration of this office highlights Hillhouse’s ongoing investment in the region and demonstrates confidence in Abu Dhabi’s dynamic financial landscape. It positions the firm to effectively identify investment opportunities, finalize partnerships, and engage with local entities.
Hillhouse has already made substantial investments in the UAE through strategic initiatives involving entities like Virtuzone and Clara within its business services arm, Ascentium, in addition to real estate investments in educational institutions such as Hartland International School and North London Collegiate School through its real assets division, Rava Partners.
Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of ADGM, expressed, “Hillhouse&rsquos entry underscores Abu Dhabi’s role as a global financial hub and an attractive locale for international enterprises.”
Since its inception in 2015, ADGM has developed into a prominent global financial center, linking investors worldwide with regional prospects. The stable economy, robust regulatory framework, and strategic position of Abu Dhabi continue to lure international capital seeking growth and stability.
