Iran Strikes UAE 167 Missiles 541 Drones Hit Dubai

Post by : Shakul

Dubai witnessed its most serious security crisis in modern history after Iran launched a large-scale missile and drone attack targeting the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, forcing the suspension of flight operations and causing fires at key locations across the city. The assault followed escalating regional hostilities and marked an unprecedented escalation in the Gulf region.

According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, Iranian forces launched 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 541 drones toward the country. Air defence systems intercepted the majority of the threats, though several projectiles fell within UAE territory and surrounding waters, causing damage and casualties. Fires were reported at Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali Port, and near the Burj Al Arab, while Dubai International Airport sustained minor structural damage at one concourse.

Flight operations at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport were suspended indefinitely as a precaution. Emirates Airline halted all inbound and outbound services due to regional airspace closures, leaving thousands of passengers stranded. Emergency teams were deployed across airports, ports, and residential areas as authorities urged residents to remain indoors.

The attacks resulted in the deaths of three foreign nationals and left dozens injured, including citizens from South Asia and the Middle East. While reports circulating online claimed strikes on the Burj Khalifa, UAE officials clarified that videos suggesting damage to the tower were false. Security operations remain ongoing as authorities assess damage and restore essential services amid heightened regional tensions.
