Iran has asserted that it will not finalize any arrangement with the United States without ensuring that its national rights and the best interests of its people are safeguarded. This declaration emerges as discussions between Tehran and Washington progress over a potential agreement intended to ease tensions, address nuclear concerns, and resolve ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran's Parliament and lead negotiator, articulated that Tehran would reject any settlement lacking assurances for Iran’s national rights. In statements broadcast on Iranian state television, Ghalibaf asserted that the Iranian negotiating team would not greenlight a deal until the interests of their citizens are fully validated. He also conveyed significant skepticism towards U.S. intentions, remarking that Iran does not merely depend on promises made by the United States.

His comments come at a crucial juncture in negotiations. Various international reports indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump has recently returned a proposed framework to Iran, demanding stricter terms and additional stipulations.
