Bus Loses Control in Kulim: Driver Injured, All Students Unharmed

Post by : Shakul

A college bus veered off course in Kulim, Kedah, on Wednesday morning, injuring the driver while all students emerged unscathed. The incident took place on Jalan Lebuh Kulim Techno City (KTC) at approximately 7:30 am.

Driver Injured, Students Unharmed

As detailed by Kulim district police chief Superintendent Syamsul Sinring, the bus was en route from Taman KTC 1 to Kulim Hi-Tech Park when it apparently lost stability. The vehicle is thought to have skidded across the opposite lane.

The bus driver, in his 40s, suffered injuries and was transported to Kulim Hospital for medical care. Fortunately, all 32 students onboard were unharmed and were subsequently returned to their college.

Investigation Underway

Authorities are initiating an investigation to uncover the precise cause of the incident. Police are evaluating the conditions leading to the crash, such as road circumstances and other potential factors.

No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries were reported in the event.

Emergency Services Respond Promptly

Emergency response teams swiftly arrived on scene following the report of the accident. Medical personnel provided care to the injured driver while ensuring the safe evacuation of all students from the bus.

Traffic flow in the vicinity was briefly disrupted as emergency teams worked to manage the area and clear the road.

Importance of Road Safety Reinforced

This situation underscores the critical need for road safety, particularly in public and educational transport contexts. Although there was only one injury, officials continue to remind drivers to exercise caution, especially during peak morning hours.

Further updates are expected from authorities upon the completion of the investigation.

Ongoing Investigation

The police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities will examine all evidence available to ascertain the reasons behind the bus's loss of control.
