His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, emphasized that the UAE's educational landscape has emerged as a global exemplar characterized by resilience, excellence, and readiness for the future.
He noted that this achievement is a testament to the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, alongside the vision articulated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan expressed pride in the education system's continuous evolution, which fosters opportunities regardless of challenges, reflecting a robust development strategy centered around education, individuals, and quality of life.
During his visit to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), accompanied by Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai, he assessed the return of students to on-site learning across Dubai's private educational institutions.
Over 150,000 students have commenced their academic year across more than 450 schools and institutions, all operating under stringent safety protocols and preparedness.
Sheikh Hamdan underlined the importance of human capital as the bedrock of development and national advancement, asserting that education is crucial for cultivating empowered individuals, strengthening national identity, and equipping future generations with essential skills.
He commended the KHDA team, educators, parents, and the broader education community for their continuous dedication, highlighting teachers' roles in providing high-quality educational experiences in all circumstances.
Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of KHDA, provided insights into the progress of the second year of Dubai's Education 33 (E33) Strategy during the visit. This strategy is aimed at fostering a future-ready, student-centered educational framework.
Sheikh Hamdan also engaged with members of the Dubai Students Council, encouraging their input, and reviewed 20 key initiatives under the E33 Strategy designed to enhance the educational journey.
These initiatives focus on bolstering the Arabic language and Emirati culture, increasing parental engagement, and developing essential life skills in students. Programs such as 'All Rise' and 'Teach in Dubai' are established to attract outstanding educators, while the 'Future Astrolabe' initiative assists students in making informed career choices.
The E33 Strategy is committed to promoting lifelong learning, aiming to cultivate confident, skilled, and values-oriented students prepared to tackle global challenges and contribute positively to Dubai's future.
