Mahesh Babu is turning heads once again, not only for his upcoming film but also for his remarkable fitness at the age of 50. The actor is currently preparing for SS Rajamouli’s ambitious project Varanasi, which was officially revealed during a grand event in Hyderabad on November 15. Notable stars such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran were present, making the occasion a hot topic of discussion. The first look of Mahesh Babu as “Rudhra” was unveiled, prompting fans to comment on social media about how youthful he appears, resembling someone in their early 30s.
This surge of admiration has spotlighted Mahesh Babu's rigorous fitness regimen and disciplined eating habits, which he has adhered to for many years. His youthful appearance is attributed to a consistent lifestyle rather than quick fixes. Colleagues who work with him often note that his dedication is what distinguishes him from peers in the industry.
Mahesh Babu’s trainer, Kumar Mannava, explained how inherently fitness is woven into the actor’s life. He emphasizes that Mahesh doesn’t view training as a temporary initiative for a film role; instead, he commits to a fitness routine year-round without fail. Mannava remarked that Mahesh treats his body with utmost respect every day.
His workout regimen spans five days a week, with each day devoted to a specific muscle group for optimal strength development. On average, he exercises for around an hour, while more rigorous days might extend to ninety minutes. Consistently, he concludes his workouts with important stretching exercises that maintain his flexibility and ward off stiffness, an issue many actors face as they age. This relentless dedication allows Mahesh Babu to remain fit and active even at 50.
His diet mirrors the simplicity and consistency of his workout routine. He avoids fad diets or extreme eating habits, focusing instead on nourishing meals that provide sustained energy. His meals typically consist of five to six smaller portions, two of which are supplement shakes that deliver vital nutrients without excess calories.
For breakfast, he tends toward practicality—oats, eggs, nuts, and fruits that offer protein, healthy fats, and fiber to kickstart his day. Post-workout, he opts for a protein shake to aid recovery. Lunch features chicken, lamb, or fish partnered with brown rice, quinoa, or khus khus for a balance of protein and complex carbohydrates. Dinner remains uncomplicated, often comprising whole-wheat or brown bread with eggs or chicken to ensure he maintains proper nutrition even at night.
Due to his steadfast routine, Mahesh stays fit and lean year-round, avoiding drastic changes for film roles. This consistency is why fans were so impressed by his fresh and energetic appearance at the Hyderabad event.
As anticipation builds for Varanasi, Mahesh’s portrayal of Rudhra has already sparked conversations. His commitment to fitness and balanced living has inspired countless fans who admire not just his cinematic prowess but also his self-discipline. His story illustrates that achieving fitness doesn’t necessitate extreme measures; it’s about perseverance, wholesome nutrition, and respecting one’s body.
With the journey toward Varanasi just beginning, Mahesh Babu's health and fitness narrative continues to make headlines. He exemplifies that aging can be embraced with grace through good habits and steadfast discipline.
