In Abu Dhabi, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held discussions with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed, addressing significant regional security matters and recent diplomatic initiatives regarding Iran.
Rubio reiterated the United States' dedication to the security of the UAE and its Gulf allies. The dialogue included recent advancements in US-Iran relations, the safety of maritime activities in the Strait of Hormuz, and overarching stability efforts in the region.

This meeting in Abu Dhabi is part of Rubio's three-day visit to the Gulf, which will also take him to Kuwait and Bahrain for consultations with vital regional allies following US-Iran technical dialogues in Switzerland.
