Mel Gibson and Rosalind Ross Announce Their Separation

Post by : Meena Hassan

Mel Gibson and Rosalind Ross have shared that they separated approximately a year ago, although they kept this news private until now. The couple, who began their relationship in 2014, released a joint statement confirming their separation and reaffirming their commitment to co-parenting their 8-year-old son, Lars. While they are parting ways, they stressed that their main focus is to provide a stable and loving environment for their child.

In their touching statement, they expressed, “While it’s difficult to close this chapter of our lives, we are grateful for our beautiful son and remain committed to being the best parents we can be.” This sentiment reflects their ongoing respect and understanding for each other, even as they end their romantic relationship. Their priority is ensuring that Lars continues to feel loved and supported as they navigate their new family structure.

At 69, Mel Gibson is a prominent name in Hollywood, known for his work as an actor, director, and producer. His contributions to the film industry include award-winning films like Braveheart, which garnered him Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture in 1996, along with The Patriot and Blood Father. Gibson has a large family, having seven children from his previous marriage to Robyn Moore, which lasted from 1980 until their divorce in 2011. He also has a 16-year-old daughter with songwriter Oksana Grigorieva.

Rosalind Ross, 35, is noted for her accomplishments as a film director and former equestrian vaulter. Even though Gibson and Ross never married, they enjoyed a strong partnership for many years. As they transition to life separately, both remain focused on co-parenting their son and fostering a nurturing atmosphere for him. Their dedication to Lars is clear as they embark on this new chapter in their lives.
