Mubadala Investment Company has reported impressive financial performance for 2025, evidencing its ongoing growth, strong returns, and strategic investment efforts across global markets.
The firm's assets under management (AUM) surged by 17% year-on-year, reaching AED1.4 trillion (US$385 billion). Mubadala also achieved solid long-term returns, with annualized figures of 10.7% over five years and 10.3% over ten years, showcasing its disciplined investment strategy.
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO, emphasized that the company’s results reflect its long-term focus on investing in high-growth sectors both in the UAE and abroad. He indicated that Mubadala is well-positioned to effectively handle ongoing global economic challenges.
In 2025, Mubadala bolstered its capabilities in artificial intelligence within Abu Dhabi, while also investing in initiatives aligned with the UAE's vision for economic diversification. The company has established a legacy of creating sector-leading businesses over the past 25 years.
Financial operations remained robust over the year. Capital deployment rose by 20% to AED143 billion ($39 billion), with proceeds increasing by 27% to AED138 billion ($38 billion), highlighting the scale and maturity of Mubadala's global investment framework.
Carlos Obeid, Chief Financial Officer, remarked that the company's strong liquidity position is backed by diverse funding sources. This financial prudence allows Mubadala to stay adaptable and capitalize on emerging opportunities in a dynamic global economy.
Mubadala’s UAE Investments platform played a crucial role in national development, contributing AED45 billion to the GDP—accounting for 5.7% of Abu Dhabi’s non-oil economy.
Adhering to its long-term investment strategy, Mubadala prioritizes multi-year performance metrics. Since 2021, the firm has disclosed rolling five-year returns and has more recently introduced ten-year performance indicators, underscoring its dedication to sustainable value creation.
