Nepal Rescue Teams Continue Search for Survivors
Nepali rescuers continued their search for possible survivors on Wednesday, September 9, nearly two weeks after a devastating flood swept through areas near the China-Nepal border. The disaster began on August 26 after a glacial mountain collapse triggered a massive surge of water, mud and debris that authorities described as tsunami-like in its force.According to the latest figures provided in the report, the disaster has caused more than 1,410 deaths across Nepal and China, while 5,651 people remain missing.
