Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) has officially launched the construction of two significant projects, PIXEL DHCC and IBN SINA+, advancing its AED1.3 billion development strategy.
These initiatives aim to bolster Dubai’s standing as a leading international destination for healthcare investments while promoting expansion within the local healthcare sector. Both projects are on track for completion by November 2027.
The announcement transpired during a ceremony with attendees including Issam Galadari, CEO of DHCA; Dr. Khalil Charif, Managing Partner of International Foundation Group LLC (IFG); Roula El Hachem Terrien, CEO of Design and Architecture Bureau (DAR); and James Abbott, Group Director at P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd, alongside various officials and stakeholders.
Issam Galadari emphasized that the initiation of these projects represents a crucial milestone in establishing high-quality, sustainable facilities. Additionally, he noted that these developments would attract increased investment, particularly in terms of foreign direct investment, while also supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy.
PIXEL DHCC is set to be a cutting-edge office building, distinguished as the first LEED Platinum-certified structure within the healthcare city, encompassing 13,000 square meters over nine floors, featuring adaptable office spaces and ground-level retail units. Designed by P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd, it signifies a modern approach to workspace.
Meanwhile, IBN SINA+ will be a newly designed medical complex by Dubai-based DAR, spanning 5,800 square meters across five floors. This facility will cater to surgeries, diagnostics, outpatient services, and medical offices, serving as an expansion of the current IBN SINA facility.
In tandem with these projects, DHCA is also enhancing supporting infrastructure to improve access and meet the demands of the burgeoning healthcare community within Dubai Healthcare City.
