Dubai Maritime City, developed by DP World, has inaugurated its latest project, the Maritime Business Centre 2 (MBC-2), a premier commercial tower with an investment of AED 160 million.
Completed in a swift 20 months, MBC-2 has already attracted substantial interest, with 78% of its office units leased prior to its grand opening. This indicates a rising demand for quality commercial spaces within Dubai's significant business districts.
Located in the Commercial District, the Maritime Business Centre 2 boasts 125 upscale office units, varying in size from 40 to 980 square meters, all offering scenic waterfront views and adaptability for diverse business requirements.
The tower comprises two office configurations: fully equipped plug-and-play options for immediate occupancy and customizable shell-and-core spaces, allowing tenants to tailor their work environments.
In addition, MBC-2 is outfitted with state-of-the-art amenities, including a wellness floor featuring a gym, recreational zones, retail shops, and dining options, along with 480 parking spaces designed for electric and hybrid vehicles and accessibility for People of Determination. Smart energy-saving technologies are incorporated throughout the building.
As part of the ongoing development, the headquarters of Dubai Maritime City and the licensing department of Jafza have transitioned into MBC-2, establishing it as a core center for maritime operations and client interactions.
Ahmed Al Hammadi, COO of Dubai Maritime City, noted that the high demand reflects a confident investment landscape within the area, recognized as a prime location for maritime and trade enterprises, supporting businesses in proximity to key ports and logistical networks.
The launch ceremony welcomed notable officials from DP World and relevant local authorities, underscoring the significance of this initiative for Dubai's expanding maritime and logistics sectors.
With this unveiling, Dubai Maritime City continues to solidify its role as a pivotal hub for maritime, logistic, and trade-oriented businesses, reinforcing DP World’s strategic vision of developing integrated economic zones across its global platform.
