In Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Armenia explored opportunities to deepen cooperation in the agriculture sector, focusing on modern farming technologies, efficient water resources management, and innovation in agricultural and livestock industries.

The discussions took place during official talks between Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Oman’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Ararat Mirzoyan, Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with their delegations.

Both sides reviewed the friendly relations between their countries and agreed to pursue further agreements and memoranda of understanding that would formalize and expand bilateral cooperation. The officials highlighted the potential for enhanced agricultural production, improved livestock management, and greater added value through efficient technologies and investment.

Dr. Saud emphasized the importance of cooperation in agriculture and water resources to support sustainability and strengthen food security systems. He reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to expanding joint efforts for mutual benefit.

The Armenian minister praised Oman’s development progress and reiterated Armenia’s keenness to strengthen the partnership, particularly in areas that support food security and agricultural advancement.
