The wedding of Palash Muchhal, popular music composer, and cricketer Smriti Mandhana faced unexpected chaos when it was abruptly postponed due to a sudden health scare involving Smriti’s father. The incident, which occurred just hours before the planned ceremony in Sangli, Maharashtra, left both families deeply stressed.
According to Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, both the groom-to-be and his fiancée are “very disturbed” by the turn of events. She reassured that the situation is expected to improve soon and the wedding will take place as planned. She shared her thoughts with Hindustan Times, saying, “Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain. Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome. Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi.”
The emergency unfolded when Smriti’s father developed heart-attack-like symptoms, forcing the families to halt the wedding at the last minute. The sudden postponement created immense emotional stress, which reportedly affected Palash, leading to his hospitalization.
Medical authorities confirmed that Palash sought treatment at a Sangli hospital after experiencing chest discomfort and uneasiness. As his symptoms did not improve there, he was transferred to a facility in Mumbai for further monitoring. Reports stated that he arrived with chest pain, breathlessness, and general uneasiness.
Dr. Dipendra Tripathi, one of the senior doctors overseeing Palash, clarified that his condition was primarily stress-related rather than a serious cardiac emergency. “Certain levels were slightly elevated, but there was no indication of a major cardiac or medical emergency,” he said.
Immediate supportive measures, including oxygen therapy, were administered, and Palash was moved to a general room under observation once stabilized. Doctors noted that the intense emotional strain from the sudden postponement of the wedding likely triggered his health episode.
Hospital authorities confirmed on Wednesday that Palash is now stable, recovering well, and has been discharged. He has been advised to take complete rest for at least three weeks to prevent any recurrence of stress-related symptoms.
The incident has drawn widespread attention, highlighting the toll that sudden family emergencies and emotional stress can take on individuals, even when the underlying medical concern is not severe. Fans and well-wishers have expressed relief at hearing that Palash is stable and recovering.
Despite these setbacks, both families remain hopeful and optimistic that the wedding will resume once everyone’s health stabilizes. Amita Muchhal emphasized the resilience of both the bride and groom, stating that the special day will be celebrated with all joy and happiness once conditions are favorable.
This incident also underscores the importance of monitoring stress and mental well-being, especially during high-pressure events such as weddings, where emotions can run high and affect physical health.
In the coming weeks, Palash is expected to focus on rest and recovery, while both families prepare to resume the wedding festivities, ensuring a safe and joyful celebration for the couple. Fans continue to send their wishes, hoping for a happy and smooth wedding day for Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana.
