Ministry Urges Strict Rules For School Bus Safety And Access

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Ministry of Education has issued a circular stressing that no parent or visitor is allowed to board school buses under any circumstances. Only students and authorised school employees are permitted. This measure is intended to maintain a safe and disciplined environment on buses and prevent violations that could endanger students or interfere with drivers and supervisors.

Surveillance Cameras Ensure Safety

All school buses are equipped with surveillance cameras that operate year-round. These cameras help document daily activities, monitor for violations, and maintain safety. The initiative also builds trust between schools and parents, forming part of an integrated system to protect students during transportation.

Communication Through Schools Only

The Ministry emphasized that all communication about bus routes, schedules, or safety issues must go through the school administration. This ensures clarity, avoids confusion, and enables a rapid and organised response to any concerns or incidents.

Violations Lead To Legal Accountability

Parents or visitors who violate these procedures will face immediate legal accountability under state child protection regulations. The Ministry clarified that these rules are designed to protect students' rights and maintain a safe, responsible school environment.

Appreciation For Parental Cooperation

The Ministry expressed its gratitude to parents for cooperating and committing to their children’s safety. Following these rules helps create a culture of safety and shared responsibility between families and schools, ensuring student well-being at all times.

Child Safety As A National Priority

Adhering to these regulations is seen as a critical part of national social and educational values. The Ministry highlighted that protecting students during school transport is essential to maintaining a secure and disciplined learning environment, reflecting the country’s commitment to child safety.
