Popular Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda passed away at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, Punjab, India, at the age of 35. He had been on life support for nearly 12 days following a critical road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The incident occurred on September 27, 2025, when his motorcycle collided with stray cattle on the road, causing severe head and spinal injuries.

Critical Condition from the Beginning

From the day of the accident, doctors confirmed that Jawanda’s neurological condition was extremely critical. Despite receiving intensive medical care, his brain activity remained minimal, and there was no significant improvement throughout his hospitalization. The Punjabi entertainment industry and his fans were closely following his condition, hoping for a recovery that, sadly, did not come.

A Celebrated Career in Music and Film

Rajvir Jawanda gained immense popularity for his hit songs such as Surname, Kamla, Mera Dil, and Sardari. In addition to his singing career, he made a notable mark in Punjabi cinema with films like Jind Jaan, Mindo Taseeldarni, and Kaka Ji. His soulful voice and dedication to celebrating Punjabi culture through music earned him widespread recognition and love from audiences.

Journey in Music and Early Aspirations

Jawanda began his musical journey in 2014 with the single Munda Like Me. He quickly rose to fame, admired for his lyrics that celebrated Punjabi traditions and pride. Initially aspiring to become a police officer, he chose to pursue his passion for music, turning it into a successful career that inspired many young artists.

Details of the Fatal Accident

The accident that led to his untimely death occurred when Jawanda’s motorcycle struck stray cattle on the road in Himachal Pradesh. The collision caused life-threatening head and spinal injuries, and he was immediately admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Despite round-the-clock medical care, his condition remained critical, and he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
