Qatar and IOM Discuss Stronger Environment Cooperation

HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie met with Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Qatar, Firas Adel Al Budeiri, in Doha on Sunday. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and enhancing coordination on issues of shared interest.

The discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration between national institutions and international organizations in addressing environmental and sustainability-related challenges. Both sides explored ways to expand cooperation and support common objectives.

The meeting reflected Qatar’s continued efforts to work closely with international partners in advancing environmental protection and climate-related initiatives. Officials also emphasized the value of exchanging expertise and best practices.

During the talks, the two sides reviewed existing areas of cooperation and discussed opportunities for future joint initiatives. The discussions covered several topics linked to environmental development and sustainable progress.

The minister reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting partnerships that contribute to environmental sustainability and community well-being. Cooperation with international organizations remains an important part of the country’s long-term development strategy.

Representatives from both sides expressed interest in strengthening communication channels and enhancing institutional cooperation. Such partnerships are expected to contribute to achieving shared environmental and development goals.
