Rokos Capital Management Launches Abu Dhabi Office Following ADGM Approval

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has announced the official opening of a new office by Rokos Capital Management (RCM) in Abu Dhabi, following the acquisition of its Financial Services Permission (FSP) from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).

Situated in Sky Tower within ADGM’s jurisdiction, this opening represents a significant advancement in RCM's strategy for global growth, adding Abu Dhabi to its offices already established in London, New York, and Singapore.

Chris Irish, Head of Middle East and Finance at Rokos Capital Management, highlighted that obtaining the full regulatory license in ADGM is a pivotal achievement for the firm's expansion in the region. He further noted plans to augment their team and enhance collaborations with local investors and partners.

Since its inception in 2015, ADGM has quickly evolved into one of the premier financial hubs in the region. It provides a robust legal and regulatory framework aligned with international standards, facilitating the confident and clear operation of global firms.

ADGM continues to draw global financial entities, thanks to Abu Dhabi’s stable economy, favorable business climate, and long-term economic diversification strategies. The financial center is increasingly recognized as a portal for businesses aiming to penetrate both regional and international markets.

Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM, expressed his support for Rokos Capital Management’s inauguration. He remarked that the firm's presence enhances ADGM's expanding network of global financial institutions and signifies the growing interest of firms identifying Abu Dhabi as a pivotal investment hotspot.
