RTA Celebrates 737 Bus Drivers' Exceptional Performance in Dubai 2025

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has recognized 737 exemplary bus drivers for their remarkable contributions throughout 2025. This accolade is due to their unwavering focus on safety, discipline, and service excellence, aligning with defined performance standards.

This initiative emphasizes RTA’s ongoing mission to enhance public transportation services while reinforcing safety and quality benchmarks, aiming for heightened customer satisfaction and improved travel experiences.

Marwan Al Zarooni, Director of Buses in RTA’s Public Transport Agency, noted that this recognition is in line with RTA’s strategic aspirations regarding health, safety, security, and customer satisfaction. It endeavors to foster a secure transport environment while promoting innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.

Al Zarooni elaborated that drivers undergo annual evaluations through a rigorous system assessing various critical variables, including adherence to traffic regulations, safety standards, absence of violations, service quality, professional conduct, and overall discipline.

He commended the awarded drivers for their commitment and exemplary performance, underscoring that their dedication contributes to a safe and efficient transport system that mirrors Dubai’s progressive image and the UAE’s esteemed global standing.

Furthermore, Al Zarooni mentioned that this program fosters healthy competition among drivers, raises road safety awareness, and inspires employees to uphold high service standards consistent with international best practices.

The RTA also reported remarkable growth in public transit usage, with bus ridership in 2025 reaching 197.2 million passengers—a 4.9% rise from 2024. This marks the highest increase in recent years, showcasing growing public confidence in Dubai’s transportation system.

The honored drivers expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that this initiative spurs them to maintain high performance levels and reflects RTA’s strong commitment to employee appreciation and advancement. They emphasized its alignment with RTA’s vision of becoming a global leader in seamless and sustainable mobility.
