Samsung has taken a big leap forward in making artificial intelligence useful for everyday smartphone users. With the launch of its new Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7, the company shows that you don’t need to be a tech expert to enjoy the power of AI. These latest foldable smartphones combine innovation, design, and user-friendly AI tools that can help with daily tasks—from travel planning to fashion advice.

AI Support at Your Fingertips with Gemini Live

One of the most exciting features in the new Galaxy Z Flip7 is the use of Gemini Live, a smart Google AI assistant that runs directly on the phone’s cover screen. Instead of opening multiple apps, users can now just speak to their device to get things done.

For example, if you're planning a trip, you only need to tell Gemini what you’re looking for. The assistant can then

  • Pull your flight details from the Samsung Wallet.

  • Set a reminder for when you need to leave for the airport.

  • Recommend top restaurants at your destination.

And that’s not all—if you're unsure what clothes to pack for the weather at your destination, just let Gemini use the phone’s camera. The AI can give you personalized fashion suggestions based on the weather.

This shows how Samsung is making AI tools more helpful and less complicated for regular users. By keeping the process voice-controlled and visually interactive, even those who aren't tech-savvy can benefit.

Flip7 FE Model Makes Entry Easier

Understanding that foldable smartphones can be expensive, Samsung has introduced a new entry-level model called the Flip7 FE, priced at Dh3,499 in the UAE. This is a major move to make foldable phones more affordable and reach a broader audience.

According to Fadi Abu Shamat, Vice President and Head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Gulf Electronics, the Flip7 FE is aimed at first-time buyers who may have wanted to try a flip phone but held back due to price.

“The Flip7 FE will help us bring innovation to a wider range of users,” he said.

With the FE model, Samsung hopes to bring more people into the foldable phone experience while still offering them the core features that make these phones special.

Fold7 Gets Slimmer Yet More Powerful

While the Flip7 is focused on portability and style, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is designed for those who need more from their phones—especially content creators, multitaskers, and professionals.

What’s most impressive is that Samsung made the Fold7 slimmer and lighter, despite giving it a larger screen. The main display is now 11% bigger than the previous Fold6 model. That gives users more room for editing photos, creating content, and using multiple apps at once.

Here are some notable specs:

  • Folded thickness: 8.9 mm

  • Unfolded thickness: 4.2 mm

  • Weight: Only 215 grams (lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra)

These changes make the Fold7 much easier to carry around without compromising on screen size or performance.

AI That Understands You

With the Flip7 and Fold7, Samsung isn’t just adding features—it’s creating a more intuitive user experience. According to T.M. Roh, President and Head of Device eXperience (DX) at Samsung, these devices are designed to adapt to your needs.

“By bringing rich multimodal AI capabilities, we’ve created a device that adapts, anticipates, and empowers users,” said Roh.

The phones can now understand a mix of voice, text, and images, making them more responsive and intelligent. Whether you’re looking for information, planning something, or just need advice, the device can assist you without needing multiple apps or manual inputs.

Fashion Help and Smart Travel Planning

The Flip7 isn’t just about looking good—it’s also a handy assistant for those who love to travel or need help picking an outfit.

By simply using voice commands and the camera, Gemini AI can recommend clothes that are suitable for your destination’s weather. This turns the Flip7 into a personal stylist, saving users the time and confusion of checking apps or packing blindly.

For travelers, the Flip7 becomes a mini travel agent, reminding you of departure times, giving directions, and even recommending places to eat—all directly from your cover screen.

Other Brands Are Doing It Too

Samsung isn’t the only company making AI features more accessible. Competitors like Honor, Oppo, and Huawei are also integrating smart AI tools into their latest devices. However, Samsung’s seamless use of Gemini Live and the convenience of doing everything from the cover screen set it apart in user-friendliness and innovation.

Price Reflects Innovation

The Galaxy Z Fold7 starts at Dh7,599 and goes up to Dh9,349, depending on the model. The higher price tag reflects the major upgrades in both hardware and software, especially the advanced AI capabilities and larger display.

As Shamat from Samsung explained,

“The pricing reflects these meaningful upgrades as well as our ongoing investment in R&D to push the boundaries of what’s possible in a foldable form factor.”

For users who want power, portability, and innovation all in one, the Fold7 offers a premium solution.

Promotions and Offers on the Way

With the launch of the Flip7 and Fold7, telecom companies in the UAE are expected to roll out special promotions, easy payment plans, and exclusive bundles. As summer sales heat up, customers will likely see competitive deals that make owning a foldable device more accessible.

This push for affordability, along with the new Flip7 FE model, shows Samsung's focus on reaching both premium and budget-friendly users.

Why These Phones Matter Now

The Galaxy Flip and Fold phones have been on the market since 2019, but this year feels different. Samsung has not only improved the look and feel of both models but also added meaningful AI features that make a real difference in everyday use.

These devices are no longer just cool tech for enthusiasts—they are becoming mainstream tools that help users organize, plan, create, and style their lives more easily.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7 show how far smartphones have come—not just in terms of looks and screens, but in how smart and helpful they’ve become. By putting real AI power in users’ hands (without making it feel complicated), Samsung is setting a new standard for what foldable phones can do.

Whether you're picking outfits for a holiday, creating content on a bigger screen, or just need a phone that understands you, the Flip7 and Fold7 are ready to help. With pricing options for different users and promotions on the way, Samsung is clearly aiming to bring smart, stylish technology to everyone.
