Saudi Arabia and Brazil Sign Digital Economy Partnership Deal

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federative Republic of Brazil have officially signed a partnership agreement focusing on the digital economy and emerging technologies. The agreement also supports joint investments in innovation, aiming to strengthen economic and technological cooperation between the two nations.

Signing Ceremony at G20 Digital Economy Meeting

The agreement was signed by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha and Brazilian Minister of Communications Frederico de Siqueira Filho. The ceremony took place during the G20 Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting, chaired by South Africa, highlighting the importance of international collaboration in advancing technological innovation.

Focus on Innovation and Emerging Technologies

The partnership emphasizes cooperation in research and development of modern technologies. Both countries aim to leverage innovation to enhance digital growth, promote technology-driven solutions, and support initiatives that will boost competitiveness in the global digital economy.

Bilateral Meetings Strengthen Cooperation

Minister Alswaha held a series of bilateral discussions during the G20 event. His meeting with Brazilian Minister Frederico de Siqueira Filho focused on exploring opportunities in innovation, research, and development of cutting-edge technologies to benefit both countries.

Saudi-China Digital Economy Talks

In addition to the Brazilian meeting, Minister Alswaha also met with Li Lecheng, China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, to discuss potential partnership opportunities in the digital economy. These discussions aim to expand Saudi Arabia’s technological collaborations with key global partners.
