In a momentous event under the esteemed attendance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the UAE Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, marked a significant milestone by celebrating the graduation of 50 emerging national leaders.

The ceremony recognized the accomplishments of the second cohort of the Future Leaders Executive Programme alongside the inaugural group of the Young Leaders Empowerment Executive Programme, with 25 graduates from each program track. This occasion also commemorated the 50th anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces.

Under the theme “Proud of You for Making a Difference,” the event saw the presence of esteemed senior officials and leaders from both entities.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of investing in human capital as a cornerstone of the UAE’s national development strategy, adhering to the vision set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

He noted that equipping military and governmental leaders with advanced strategic insight and future-oriented skills is essential for bolstering the UAE’s position on the global stage.

Highlighting the development of young national talent as a crucial element of the nation’s future, Sheikh Hamdan underscored the need to cultivate leaders adept at navigating global shifts, foreseeing challenges, and transforming them into opportunities.

The initiatives designed by the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government employed global best practices to augment institutional effectiveness, leadership capabilities, and foresight in the future.

The Future Leaders Executive Programme emphasized strategic thought processes, scenario evaluations, transformation within institutions, adaptation to digital advancements, and performance enhancements. It also focused on frameworks for innovation, leadership influence, and governmental excellence.

Conversely, the Young Leaders Empowerment Executive Programme aimed to nurture young Emirati talent via training in team dynamics, communications, customer engagement, time organization, and professional accountability, along with deepening understanding of institutional regulations and governance.

Modern pedagogical techniques were employed in both programs, featuring case analyses, experiential learning, and interactive leadership seminars under the “Meet a Leader” initiative to provide insights from real-world leadership journeys.

The training also entailed collaborative projects designed to enhance institutional workflows, boost operational efficacy, and cultivate a culture of teamwork and innovation.

This graduation ceremony epitomizes the UAE’s dedication to fostering human capital and establishing adaptive, inventive, and future-ready governmental structures that can sustain long-lasting national growth.
