Sheikh Hamdan Celebrates National Defence College Graduation

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, recently attended the graduation ceremony for the 13th cohort of the National Defence College in Abu Dhabi.

During his speech, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of cultivating national leaders equipped with strategic foresight, showcasing the UAE's commitment to developing homegrown talent. He acknowledged Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's relentless efforts to fortify the nation’s future by empowering citizens for enhanced security and stability.

In addition, Sheikh Hamdan recognized the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in cultivating talent and preparing leaders for future challenges.

He commended the National Defence College for its pivotal role in fostering well-rounded leaders with deep knowledge and strategic insight to bolster national security and readiness.

Sheikh Hamdan stated that investing in qualified leaders is crucial for a successful future, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and strategic planning, which are vital for the UAE’s continued progress and global stature.

He extended his congratulations to the graduates, acknowledging their academic dedication and commitment to supporting national development.

The ceremony saw the presence of key officials, including Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, and Lt. General Staff Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, also Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, along with other esteemed officers.

The cohort included graduates from both the UAE and several allied nations, highlighting the college’s role in nurturing leadership and strategic acumen.

Major General Saeed Salmeen Al Alawi, the College's Commandant, remarked on the institution's mission to prepare leaders adept at navigating changes, facing strategic challenges, and enhancing national security.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Sheikh Hamdan honored the outstanding performers, congratulated all graduates, and participated in commemorative photographs with them and faculty members.
