H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, visited the Al Fakhr Winter Camp for sons of martyrs in Remah. The camp is organized by the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office at the Presidential Court, in partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club and Mohamed bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School (FDPS), running until 12th December 2025.
During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed attended various activities, including an educational session in collaboration with the International Fund for Houbara Conservation. The session focused on the importance of Houbara bustards and modern conservation methods.
The camp also offers several sporting and recreational events, such as a football competition and a virtual reality hunting experience, aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle among the young participants.
H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed emphasized that caring for the sons of martyrs is a national priority in the UAE, under the guidance of President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He noted that the UAE organizes programs that nurture the skills of children of fallen heroes, promote youth initiatives, and help them develop creativity and leadership abilities.
He also highlighted that the camp represents the UAE’s vision of empowering youth, a key pillar for the nation’s progress. Investing in young people ensures the future growth of the country and supports its cultural and development goals while protecting national achievements.
Sheikh Hazza was accompanied by Sheikh Zayed bin Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdulla Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Director of the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office.
The camp is supported by leading organizations that develop youth leadership, including the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi.
The Al Fakhr Winter Camp – Remah hosts 63 sons of martyrs aged 12-16. The program includes educational sessions on Emirati traditions, workshops on falconry and Arabic coffee preparation, sports, recreational activities, heritage lessons, scientific talent development, and awareness on healthy nutrition.
