Record-Breaking Growth in UAE Tourism with 32 Million Visitors

His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, assessed the business report from the Emirates Tourism Council concerning the sector's achievements in 2025.

The report noted sustained growth across the UAE's tourism landscape, underscoring the nation's stature as a primary global travel hub.

As per the findings, hotel stays in the UAE surpassed 32 million in 2025, a 5.1 percent rise compared to 2024. Revenue from hotels also saw robust increases, soaring to AED49.21 billion, up 9.7 percent year-on-year.

The hospitality domain thrived, with an addition of hotel rooms totaling 217,000 across over 1,240 establishments nationwide. Occupancy rates reached 79.5 percent, positioning the UAE among the premier tourism markets, regionally and globally.

Additionally, total hotel nights hit 100 million throughout the year, demonstrating robust tourist interest and stable sector performance.

Moreover, the UAE claimed the lead in the Middle East and North Africa on the World Economic Forum’s Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI) 2024, and achieved an impressive 18th position globally, denoting its advancing international status within tourism.
