At the 152nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Istanbul, Bahrain's Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, engaged in discussions with Pakistan's National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The meeting was part of the Bahraini parliamentary team's activities at the international assembly, where both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing parliamentary dialogue and collaboration.
Al Musallam commended the strong historical ties between Bahrain and Pakistan, noting ongoing advancements in their cooperation in various sectors. He acknowledged Pakistan's role in fostering regional stability and peace.
He also stressed Bahrain's concerns regarding security in the region, condemning recent actions by Iran that threaten Bahrain, Gulf Cooperation Council nations, and Jordan, categorizing them as breaches of international law.
In turn, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reiterated Pakistan's dedication to fortifying relationships with Bahrain, highlighting the need for enhanced collaboration in areas beneficial to both nations.
The two leaders further deliberated on various regional and international occurrences, underscoring the necessity of sustained parliamentary engagement for promoting peace and constructive dialogue.
