On Saturday, the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre was alive with the excitement of the fourth Tiger Obstacle Race, attracting 2,300 participants from diverse backgrounds who were eager to tackle new challenges.
The event included tailored courses to cater to different age groups:
Kids (ages 4-9): 800 metres
Teens (ages 10-15): 1.5 kilometres
Adult Professional: 8 kilometres
Open Category: 4 km and 8 km
Participants encountered a range of challenges, including rope climbing, ice pools, water slides, and bell climbing, all designed to test their endurance, strength, and fitness.
In total, AED 20,000 in cash prizes were awarded to the top three finishers in both men's and women's professional categories.
His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, highlighted how the race encourages sports as a lifestyle, praising Khorfakkan’s natural landscapes, which are perfect for such events.
Support for the event came from several key government and private sponsors, including the Sharjah Civil Defence, Sharjah Police, Sharjah Electricity, Water & Gas Authority, BEEAH, Zulal Water Factory, Shurooq, Khorfakkan Club, and Khorfakkan Municipality.
