Enhanced Search for Missing 14-Year-Old in Toronto

Post by : Shweta

Toronto authorities have ramped up efforts in the search for a missing 14-year-old girl, Esther “Esti,” with rising concerns regarding her safety. Last seen on May 15 near Earl Bales Park in North York, the community, along with police and volunteers, are conducting extensive search operations to find her.

Esther was reportedly seen around 11:15 p.m. near a community center adjacent to the park and has been unaccounted for since. Descriptions indicate she is about 5-foot-2 with brown hair and a medium build and was thought to be wearing a green shirt and grey pants at the time of her disappearance.

Toronto Police have elevated the situation to a “Priority 1” search, mobilizing significant resources including drones and search teams across the densely wooded areas and surrounding neighborhoods.

Community members have joined forces with hundreds of local volunteers. Organizations, such as Shomrim Safety Patrol, are aiding by distributing flyers and gathering surveillance footage, with teams canvassing neighborhoods for any signs of the girl.

In heartfelt public appeals, Esther’s family has reassured her that she is “not in trouble” and encouraged anyone with information to reach out to the authorities. The incident has deeply resonated within the community, uniting residents in support of the search.

Authorities express growing concern for Esther due to the duration of her absence and are calling on local businesses and residents to watch for any signs of her. They stress that public vigilance may be crucial in the ongoing efforts to locate her.

The case has garnered significant attention both within Canada and beyond, with volunteer rescue teams from neighboring areas lending their support in the continuous day-and-night searches.

Toronto Police urge anyone with any leads regarding Esther’s disappearance to contact emergency services or local investigators. Their main objective remains to bring the teenager home safely as soon as possible.
