Authorities in Toronto have declared a reward of up to $25,000 linked to a shooting incident at Fairview Mall, as their search intensifies for a suspect believed to be connected to several violent crimes. Identified as Kyle Douglas Prouse, the suspect is wanted by the Toronto Police Service in connection with a robbery that occurred on April 21. According to reports, the 53-year-old entered the mall shortly after it opened, intending to rob a jewelry store. A security guard intervened and was shot during the confrontation.

The suspect fled the area in a white van that has since been recovered, later switching to a black sedan to continue his escape. Authorities suspect this incident is part of a larger criminal trend rather than an isolated event.

Investigators have indicated that Prouse is potentially involved in at least six robberies and break-ins since the start of 2023, targeting various banks and jewelry outlets across Ontario and Quebec.
