Sri Lanka is actively seeking collaboration with Belarus as part of its initiative to modernize its transport systems. This program aims to leverage Belarusian expertise and technology to upgrade the national transport infrastructure.
The dialogue occurred during a meeting between Bimal Rathnayake and Alexei Lyakhnovich, where both parties concentrated on increasing collaboration in transport and technological exchanges.
Officials also explored the potential for establishing an air services agreement, which could significantly enhance connectivity and create new avenues for travel and commerce, thus fortifying bilateral relations.
Furthermore, the discussions opened the door for training Sri Lankan professionals at the Belarusian State Transport University, aimed at enhancing skills and fostering sustained growth in the transport sector.
