On a pleasant evening in Abu Dhabi, a special event was held to celebrate an important day in Egypt’s history — the 73rd anniversary of the July 23rd Revolution. The event took place at the Egyptian Embassy and was hosted by Sharif Mahmoud Said Eissa, the Ambassador of Egypt to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The gathering turned into a wonderful occasion to reflect on the deep and friendly relations between the two nations.

UAE Ministers Attend the Event

The celebration was graced by two important UAE ministers. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, the Minister of State, both came to show their respect and support for the occasion. Their presence highlighted how much the UAE values its relationship with Egypt.

Many Diplomats and Community Members Join In

The reception was attended by many important people. Senior UAE officials, diplomats from both Arab and foreign countries, and members of the Egyptian community living in the UAE were all there. It was a big gathering filled with joy and pride, showing the close connection between the two nations.

The atmosphere was one of warmth and unity. Egyptians living in the UAE joined hands with Emiratis and others from across the world to celebrate a day that changed the course of Egypt’s modern history — the day the monarchy ended, and Egypt moved toward becoming a republic.

A Historic Day for Egypt

The July 23rd Revolution in 1952 was a major turning point in Egypt’s history. It was led by a group of army officers who wanted to end corruption and foreign influence in their country. Over time, it helped Egypt stand on its own feet and become a strong voice in the Arab world. This revolution holds a very special place in the hearts of Egyptians.

Ambassador’s Speech Highlights Strong Relations

During the event, Ambassador Sherif Eissa gave a speech that was both emotional and inspiring. He spoke about how the relations between Egypt and the UAE are based on respect, brotherhood, and strong friendship. He reminded everyone that these ties were built many years ago by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE.

Sheikh Zayed believed in the importance of Arab unity and always worked toward building strong relations with other Arab countries, especially Egypt. Thanks to his vision and efforts, the UAE and Egypt have developed a partnership that continues to grow stronger with time.

Huge Emirati Investments in Egypt

Ambassador Eissa pointed out how the last two years have been especially significant for the relationship between the two countries. He shared that the UAE has invested nearly $70 billion directly into Egypt. This is the highest amount of foreign investment that Egypt has received from any single country, making the UAE the top investing country in Egypt.

This investment has supported many development projects, created jobs, and helped Egypt’s economy grow. It also shows the strong trust the UAE has in Egypt’s future.

Ras El Hekma Project – A Major Step Forward

One of the biggest projects that shows the strength of UAE-Egypt relations is the Ras El Hekma project. This development is located on Egypt’s northern coast and is expected to become a major tourist and investment hub. The UAE has poured in a large amount of money into this project, showing its long-term commitment to Egypt’s growth and prosperity.

The Ras El Hekma project is not just about buildings and infrastructure. It represents a new chapter in the shared journey of the two countries. It is a symbol of how much they can achieve when they work together.

Growing Trade Between the Two Countries

In addition to investment, trade between the UAE and Egypt is also growing. The ambassador shared that bilateral trade between the two nations now exceeds $4 billion every year. This shows how businesses in both countries trust and depend on each other. From food and clothes to machines and construction materials, many products move between Egypt and the UAE daily.

This growing trade helps both economies. It gives Egyptian companies access to UAE markets and gives Emirati businesses a strong partner in North Africa.

A Model of Arab Cooperation

The relationship between Egypt and the UAE is often seen as a model for Arab cooperation. Both countries support each other in times of need and stand together on major regional and global issues. Whether it’s dealing with regional conflicts or working on economic development, the UAE and Egypt often act as one team.

Their strong partnership also brings stability to the region. When two big countries like Egypt and the UAE work together, it sends a strong message of unity and cooperation to others.

A Bond That Goes Beyond Politics

What makes the Egypt-UAE relationship even more special is that it goes beyond politics and business. It touches the hearts of the people. Many Egyptians live and work in the UAE. They feel at home here, and they are treated with respect and kindness.

Likewise, Emiratis visiting Egypt always speak highly of their experience. The culture, hospitality, and warmth of the Egyptian people leave a lasting impression. Over time, these personal connections between the people of both countries have made their bond even stronger.

Looking Ahead

As the event ended, there was a feeling of hope and excitement for the future. The speeches, smiles, and handshakes all pointed to a relationship that is not just strong — it’s growing.

The UAE and Egypt have come a long way together. From their shared history and cultural values to their economic partnerships and mutual support, their relationship is built on a solid foundation. And as both countries look to the future, their cooperation promises to bring more success, peace, and prosperity to their people.
