Pole Vault Gold for Al Yaziya Tariq

In another gold-medal performance, Al Yaziya Tariq cleared 2.60 meters in the women’s pole vault, securing her top spot on the podium. This win highlighted the UAE’s growing strength in field events and the effectiveness of training programs for young athletes.

Silver and Bronze in Women’s 100m

The UAE also earned medals in the women’s 100m. Arwa Ali captured the silver medal, while Laila Ahmed added a bronze medal to the team’s tally. These results reflect the depth of talent in the UAE’s sprinting squad and their ability to compete at the regional level.

Federation Praises Team Performance

Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Mur, President of the UAE Athletics Federation, praised the athletes’ performance on the opening day. He said the four-medal haul shows the success of the federation’s strategy to develop future champions across all age categories. He highlighted that consistent training, talent development, and international exposure are key to the UAE’s growth in athletics.
