The recent UAE–Lithuania Business Council Meeting convened in Vilnius, Lithuania, focusing on deepening trade and investment relations between the United Arab Emirates and Lithuania. The objective was to boost collaborative ventures, facilitate knowledge transfer, and reinforce connections between both nations' private sectors.

Organized by the Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, the event attracted numerous attendees from public and private entities in both countries. This meeting served as a crucial venue for nurturing commercial partnerships and identifying novel economic cooperation avenues.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led the Emirati delegation. He remarked that the second council meeting underscores both nations’ enthusiasm for enhancing dialogue within their business communities. Al Owais noted that this gathering provides a significant platform for exploring investment opportunities and boosting bilateral trade.

The meeting was identified as a vital opportunity for Emirati entrepreneurs looking to establish beneficial relationships with their Lithuanian counterparts, especially in promising sectors contributing to the economic advancement of both nations. Key discussions revolved around trade expansion in areas such as real estate, tourism, and furniture manufacturing.

Sigitas Gailiūnas, President of the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, shared that the meeting welcomed representatives from over 30 Lithuanian firms across various sectors, including furniture, real estate, and tourism. He indicated that future collaborations would focus significantly on technology investments and clean-energy initiatives.

The meeting facilitated substantial bilateral talks among business representatives from both nations, allowing for the exploration of specific partnership opportunities as well as investment potential. Presentations underscored promising projects, market opportunities, and strategies for enhancing cooperation within the private sector.

Officials from both sides emphasized the need for ongoing engagement and initiatives that promote sustainable economic growth. The council meeting stands as a vital venue for knowledge sharing, best practices, and pinpointing sectors where mutual collaboration can yield significant benefits for both businesses and economies.

By convening key stakeholders from the UAE and Lithuania, this second UAE–Lithuania Business Council Meeting epitomized a commitment to expanding trade, empowering entrepreneurs, and nurturing long-term investment opportunities. It reinforces the vision of cultivating stronger partnerships in strategic fields such as technology, clean energy, tourism, and real estate.
