During a working visit to Luxembourg, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, held discussions with Prime Minister Luc Frieden.
The dialogue aimed at reinforcing the robust diplomatic relations between the UAE and Luxembourg, with emphasis on progressing cooperation in vital areas including trade, economy, and investment, as well as other sectors pivotal to their developmental ambitions.
Highlighting the prospects for collaboration, Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE's dedication to nurturing progressive ties with Luxembourg to foster sustainable growth.
The leaders exchanged perspectives on pressing regional and international matters that affect both nations.
Topics included the recent missile and drone attacks from Iran targeting civilian locations in the UAE, their implications for maritime security, global energy supplies, and the health of the broader economy.
Discussions also covered drone assaults from Iraq, notably one that struck near the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, impacting an external generator.
Prime Minister Frieden voiced Luxembourg's solidarity with the UAE, condemning the attacks vehemently. Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude for this support, ensuring that residents and visitors to the UAE remain safe and secure.
The meeting included senior officials from the UAE, such as Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, and Ambassador Mohamed Ismail Al Sahlawi.
