UAE National Guard Becomes FIEP Member to Enhance Global Security

In a significant development, the UAE National Guard has officially joined the International Association of Gendarmeries and Police Forces with Military Status, known as FIEP. This announcement was made during the summit held in Paris, France, from 20th to 23rd October 2025, which was hosted by the French Republic. Attended by French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez and delegates from 22 nations, the inclusion of the UAE National Guard signifies a pivotal step in the nation’s growing involvement in international security and collaboration.

The UAE delegation was headed by Major General Saleh Mohammed bin Megren Al Ameri, Commander of the National Guard, who participated in key discussions and emphasized the National Guard's crucial role within the UAE’s security framework. Major General Al Ameri articulated the National Guard's importance in the national security architecture, underscoring its collaborative efforts with various security agencies to safeguard the nation and its residents.

During his speech, Major General Al Ameri referred to the guiding vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, highlighting the leadership’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and bolstering cooperative efforts in both security and humanitarian domains.
