His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, hosted Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari at Za’abeel Palace in Dubai. Their discussion centered on enhancing bilateral relations and fostering collaboration in vital sectors.
Among those present were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, along with His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The leaders explored avenues to bolster economic, developmental, and strategic collaboration between the UAE and Pakistan, exchanging insights on regional dynamics while emphasizing global stability, security, and sustainable advancement.
Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the UAE’s dedication to enhancing its strategic alliance with Pakistan, noting the historic relationship shared by the nations. President Zardari commended Sheikh Mohammed's efforts in boosting bilateral ties, underscoring the significance of ongoing cooperation in economic and development arenas.
Senior leaders and officials from the UAE also participated in the meeting, including Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.
From the Pakistani delegation, attendees included First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Presidential Advisor Asim Hussain, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, and Brigadier Sajid Akbar.
Sheikh Mohammed also engaged with business leaders and officials to explore enhancements in the business landscape and fortify public-private partnerships. Additionally, he met top graduates from Zayed II Military College and the Dubai Police Academy, commending their accomplishments and highlighting the importance of investing in national talent for future security and growth.
