Post by : Raina Al-Fahim

Abu Dhabi, UAE — 6 November 2025: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, reviewed progress on national programmes designed to strengthen the UAE's leadership in forward-looking sectors during the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025.

The sessions, hosted in Abu Dhabi through 6 November, convened over 500 officials from federal and local bodies to assess developments, set strategic priorities and spotlight flagship projects shaping the nation’s future.

Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE’s direction is "guided by the spirit of the Union, and the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, moving toward achieving our national priorities."

New measures announced at the meetings included an AI Readiness Indicator to evaluate national preparedness for artificial intelligence adoption and a programme to identify 1,000 AI applications across multiple sectors. These steps are intended to bolster the UAE’s position in AI, technology and innovation.

The programme also saw the inaugural convening of the Ministerial Development Council, assembling ministers and senior federal and local officials to harmonise strategic objectives. At the same time, the Executive Councils of Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah met to reinforce coordinated governance across the emirates.

On the commitment of government teams, Sheikh Mohammed added, "Our teams are committed to reinforcing the UAE’s leadership in all sectors, focusing on innovation, excellence, and future-ready solutions."

The UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 showcased national achievements in AI and innovation while serving as a platform to deepen collaboration and accelerate the country’s aim to be a global hub for technology, digital services and sustainable growth.
