UAE’s rider Saeed Ahmed Jaber Al Harbi achieved a major victory by winning the FEI Endurance Asian Championship 2025. The competition took place in Pattaya, Thailand, and brought together elite riders from across Asia to compete in this prestigious equestrian event.

Al Harbi rode the nine-year-old mare Ras Flor Del Pago in the challenging 120-kilometre two-star race. Out of 19 riders, including both male and female participants, he completed the course in 5 hours, 31 minutes, and 59 seconds, securing the championship title with distinction. His exceptional performance reflected not only skill and endurance but also the UAE’s growing leadership in continental equestrian competitions.

The FEI Endurance Asian Championship is a highly competitive event that tests riders’ stamina, strategy, and bond with their horses over long distances. Winning this race is a significant achievement, marking UAE’s continued success in equestrian sports and demonstrating the country’s commitment to nurturing talent in international competitions.

Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Equestrian Club, expressed his pride in Al Harbi’s success. He dedicated the victory to the UAE’s leadership and the people, celebrating it on the occasion of the 54th UAE Eid Al Etihad. The chairman highlighted that achievements like this inspire young riders and strengthen the nation’s presence in international equestrian sports.

This accomplishment also highlights the importance of horse training, proper preparation, and strategy in endurance racing. Riders must maintain their horses’ health and energy while navigating long distances, often through varied terrains. Al Harbi’s victory shows excellent coordination between rider and horse, combining experience, endurance, and teamwork to achieve top performance.

The UAE has a long-standing tradition in equestrian sports, with support from government and sports authorities helping develop world-class riders. Successes like Al Harbi’s contribute to the nation’s reputation in international competitions and encourage more participation from emerging riders across the country.

Al Harbi’s achievement adds to UAE’s list of international accolades in sports, reflecting the dedication of riders, trainers, and clubs. Such wins help promote equestrian sports locally and internationally, creating awareness and appreciation for the skill, discipline, and culture associated with horse riding.

By winning the FEI Endurance Asian Championship, Saeed Al Harbi not only earned a prestigious title but also reinforced the UAE’s commitment to excellence in equestrian competitions. His performance serves as motivation for future generations of riders aiming for success on the global stage.
