Sheikh Hamdan Introduces Dubai-it Award to Celebrate Exceptional Achievements

Post by : Bianca Haleem

In a remarkable initiative, Dubai has unveiled the Dubai-it Award, an annual programme dedicated to recognizing significant accomplishments across multiple sectors, including government, business, technology, education, and real estate. Initiated under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this award aims to celebrate organizations, projects, and individuals that embody Dubai's commitment to excellence.

Sheikh Hamdan, who serves as Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, unveiled this programme to bolster the ethos of the Dubai-it philosophy. The initiative is designed to reward those who can effectively turn ambitious concepts into tangible and successful outcomes rapidly.

The programme seeks to honour innovation, efficiency, and a stellar dedication to results, aligning with Dubai’s mission of translating vision into reality through accountability and impressive execution.

Presented annually, the Dubai-it Award will cover diverse sectors vital for the development of the emirate. It features categories aimed at recognizing impactful projects, institutions, and individual efforts.

Among the project categories, there is recognition for a government initiative demonstrating outstanding implementation results. Additionally, tech-driven projects that have brought creative ideas to life with sustainable impacts will be acknowledged. Other eligible entries include educational initiatives that promote achievement, accountability, and execution in line with Dubai's work ethos.

A specific focus will also be on the real estate sector, where developments that contribute positively to urban, social, or economic growth will be honored. These projects will be assessed based on their impact and contribution to Dubai’s continued evolution.

Another focus area of the awards is institutional excellence, acknowledging a government entity that has fostered a culture of achievement. Additionally, a transformation category will recognize companies that have improved their operations or market impact significantly.

Individual recognitions will also be awarded, such as for a government project manager who has effectively created measurable results through strategic execution. Entrepreneurs who have launched successful ventures that make a considerable difference will also be recognized.

His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office, emphasized that this award reflects the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He remarked that success should be measured through achieved outcomes, rather than mere ideas.

He further remarked that ideas gain significance only when they materialize into projects that enhance people's lives and shape the future. The Dubai-it Award reinforces Dubai’s resolve to turn aspirations into achievements with precision and speed.

Al Gergawi commended Dubai's consistent track record of realizing ambitious projects spanning diverse sectors, stating the award will highlight these success stories and the individuals and organizations responsible for them.

The award will particularly highlight initiatives with measurable impacts that not only meet but exceed expectations, showcasing Dubai’s ability to act swiftly while ensuring high standards of quality.

Moreover, he maintained that the Dubai-it philosophy represents more than a mere slogan. Instead, it serves as a holistic framework focused on effective implementation, resulting in real-world outcomes. This approach has helped Dubai achieve significant milestones and reinforce its position as a pioneer in innovation and growth.

The Dubai-it Award builds on Sheikh Mohammed's broader initiative aimed at instilling Dubai’s work philosophy in future generations, creating a culture centered on exceptional execution.

Through this award, Dubai aspires to further instill this mindset within its institutions while promoting the next generation of innovative projects and achievements crucial for the emirate's future success.
