US Commemorates Armenian Remembrance Day With Presidential Message

Post by : Shweta

The White House released a presidential message to commemorate Armenian Remembrance Day, recognizing the victims of the Armenian Genocide, or Meds Yeghern.

In this official announcement, the President memorialized the countless Armenians who suffered loss and displacement during this tragic chapter over a century ago. The expression of solidarity extends to Armenian communities globally, including Armenian Americans, affirming that the pain and memory of these events persist through generations.

This statement described the era as one of humanity’s bleakest moments while celebrating the enduring strength of the Armenian people. It highlighted that in spite of profound hardship, Armenians have persistently rebuilt their communities in pursuit of a future marked by peace, security, and advancement.

The United States reiterated its support for Armenia and emphasized strengthening bilateral ties. The message outlined efforts to foster a robust partnership centered on economic growth, regional stability, and long-standing cooperation within the South Caucasus.

Furthermore, the President stressed the importance of remembering such historical tragedies to avert future occurrences. He urged ongoing commitments to safeguard innocents, promote peace, and sustain universal values of justice and humanity.

In conclusion, the announcement encouraged reflection on historical lessons while working collaboratively to forge a safer world, reaffirming a pledge to stand united with Armenia and its citizens.
