Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma visited spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj at his ashram, Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj in Varah Ghat, Vrindavan. The visit, captured in videos that quickly went viral on social media, showed the couple listening attentively to the guru’s teachings, reflecting their personal spiritual focus away from the public eye. This marked their third trip to Vrindavan this year, highlighting their dedication to spiritual reflection, even as international events and public engagements continue.
The visit came just a week before Kohli is expected to participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Delhi. Rumours had suggested he might meet football star Lionel Messi in Mumbai or Delhi, but Kohli chose a spiritual path instead. Videos showed Anushka and Kohli quietly engaging with the guru’s sermon, underlining their commitment to personal growth and faith.
This spiritual outing followed the couple’s return to India from the United Kingdom, coinciding with Messi’s multi-city tour in the country. Fans online praised the couple for balancing their busy public lives with personal faith, noting their consistent visits to Vrindavan and spiritual grounding.
Meanwhile, the apex council’s 31st AGM will be held online, with major discussions expected on the contracts of Kohli and senior cricketer Rohit Sharma. Both players have retired from Test and T20I cricket over the past year and are now active only in the ODI format.
