Vodafone Group has agreed to acquire cloud services provider Skaylink from private equity owner Waterland in a transaction worth €175 million ($203 million). The purchase is part of the UK telecom group's push to broaden its business and digital service capabilities across Europe.
Headquartered in Germany, Skaylink operates across multiple European markets and specialises in enterprise cloud transformation, managed cloud services and digital infrastructure solutions. Vodafone says the deal will add established cloud expertise to its portfolio.
Vodafone expects the acquisition to let its corporate and public-sector customers tap into more unified and scalable cloud offerings, speeding up adoption and improving flexibility for handling data and applications.
The binding agreement is subject to regulatory clearance and customary closing conditions and is targeted to complete by the end of March 2026. Once finalised, Skaylink will be integrated into Vodafone's enterprise technology assets.
The move underlines Vodafone's ongoing strategy to move beyond traditional telecom services and strengthen its position as a technology-led communications provider.
